Directions
Easy Irish Apple Cake, Quick to mix and super simple Irish apple cake! I like it as a coffee cake with breakfast, served warm with my maple butter, but you decide , This was easy to make, and yummy! It has a unique flavor with the ground cloves, and is a refreshing change My family loved it hot, and it was excellent cold as well, My husband just enjoyed your lovely apple cake for breakfast It was a snap(about five minutes, plus peeling time) to whip up in food processor (folded in apples in separate bowl) It was my first time using self-rising flour and I think it contributed to the high rising and super fluffy insides (absolutely no gooey spots) The cake has a nice crusty top, which was my favorite part! used about 3 1/2 Empire apples We both thought this cake made an outstanding breakfast!
