Instead of or in addition to the instant pudding, you can mix in a fruit filling such as marionberry or strawberry. My favorite flavor of pudding to use is cheesecake. Tastes so good with a chocolate or lemon cake. This will make enough to fill a typical layer cake.,use this all of the time. Its now a family favorite for my cake fillings! I will add extra whipping cream if its too thick.,I need to make a cake with an edible image which can not be in the refrigerator. I’ve made this filling and love it ! Will it be ok because of the sugar content to use this as a filling and give it to the lady the night before?
