Vegan French Toast, Very easy recipe when I have time to make breakfast Let me know if you like it!, This is one of my favorite recipes use thick artisan white bread, some reviewers said it turns out soggy, to prevent that I quickly dip the bread in the batter then place it in the pan If you let the bread soak in the batter, it may turn out soggy I also cook it on low to medium heat to prevent it from burning The nutritional yeast gives it a nice crust Super easy to make, its delicious! Thank you for this recipe!, Follwing user halfbaked, I added 1tsp each of nutmeg and vanilla extract, and used almond milk instead of soy milk The nutritional yeast adds an eggy flavor and makes the french toast so much more authentic! I served the french toast with a mixed berry fruit compote and savory breakfast sweet potatoes (seasoned with cumin, chili powder, diced onion, and minced garlic) 🙂
