Swedish Pickled Beets,Adapted from House & Garden, 1964! Easy and tasty! A Scandinavian table is seldom without them. You can use canned beets for this.,I’ve only had commercial canned/jarred beets before…my thought were so-so.Made this recipe with fresh beets from the farmer’s market~LOVE them now!!!!! Simple recipe, great flavor~how can you ask for more! Making them again this week! Thank you so much for sharing!,What a wonderful recipe! I was thrilled to see that you could use canned beets, which I did. I prepared as directed, draining two cans of beets and putting them is a quart mason jar. I boiled the mixture and poured it over the beets in the mason jar, let them sit for a couple of days (which was very hard to do, I might add). Wonderful, I love the little heat that the fresh ground pepper adds to the beets. Now I will be able to have pickled beets on hand all the time! Thanks Sharon123!
