Directions
Easy Tres Leches Cake, I wanted to make a simple, quick Tres Leches cake for my family Too many recipes I’d found called for fruit, or meringue, or coconut — which detracts from the rich milk flavor , I was confused on the cake box size and amount of eggs and water this called for so I just followed the directions on the box then put all the milks on it and it was wonderful, This is a NO FAIL MUST TRY!! I PROMISE! Once cake has cooled completely & you’re ready to pour milks over the cake **Warm one jar of caramel (used smuckers & in the microwave) After all milks are combined in a bowl, add the entire jar of caramel **Then, whip it up used my mixer on lower setting **Finally, pour onto cake with tons of holes in it Don’t be afraid to poke many many holes The more the merrier That goes for any variation of this recipe **Cover and put in fridge so cake can soak it all up I find at least 24hrs is necessary unless you like the milk still pooled at the bottom & a denser drier cake **Then put cool whip topping on cake as an icing before serving It can be put on right after pouring milks but I like to see the top of the cake & sides before putting cool whip on so I can gauge whether the cake has absorbed all the milks or not ~~The caramel gives the cake that extra kick & holy moly I’ve never seen a cake disappear so fast in my life Even ppl that don’t like cake!
