Ethiopian Beef In Pepper Sauce

Features:
    Cuisine:

An easy beef dish, with a sauce that's a little different. Nice appearance, with the tumeric yellow and the peppers. A little on the hot side - for my taste I would reduce the jalapeno a bit. I would also make maybe half again as much sauce. I would suggest a tender cut of steak, or else tenderize before the brief cooking. I cut the onions in strips, rather than chopped, for a more consistent texture with the beef and peppers. used a sweet red pepper. (I wasn't clear from the ingredient list if it should be sweet or hot.)
