Famous Oatmeal Cookies,Oatmeal cookies are my BF’s favorite, so I’ve tried LOTS of different recipes. This is the BEST one!!! I found it online somewhere–these are sort of crunchy, not cakey at all, and not overly sweet. YUM!,So disappointed in this cookie recipe. Expectations were high as 28 people gave it 5 stars. I second guessed adding the water & I wished I had not added the water. Fortunately I bake 1 cookie when trying a new recipe so added more flour to compensate. Then saw salt was optional, so didn’t add on it. Definitely needed the salt.,These turned out so good I had to share! They were crispy and golden on the outside and chewy on the inside.. I tweaked them quite a bit because I am a little crazy like that and? I made it just like it said but used melted coconut oil added 2 tablespoons of molasses, 2 tsp. Cinnamon 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg and an extra tsp of vanilla because I love real vanilla. I also made them into bar cookies and out them in a 9×13 cake pan and baked them for about 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. My husband told me they were the best oatmeal raisin bar cookies I have ever made! Thats awesome because I have made a lot of them in my lifetime!
