1/2 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
28 ounces pork and beans
16 ounces kidney beans, rinsed and drained
15 1/4 ounces lima beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup sugar (i skipped this ingredient)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar (i skipped this ingredient)
2 tablespoons prepared mustard (i added some extra spicy mustard)
2 tablespoons molasses (i skipped this ingredient)
1 teaspoon salt (i skipped this ingredient)
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (i skipped this ingredient)

    I have to say this is my favorite baked bean recipe so far. I didn't add the extra sugar or packed brown sugar or the molasses because I thought it was too sweet already. I threw in some spicy mustard to give it more of a kick, but I will post as written. The beef and bacon make plain pork and beans so much better.

    In a Large Skillet Over Medium Heat, Cook Bacon, Beef, and Onion Until Meat Is No Longer Pink and Drain.

    Transfer to a Greased 2 1/2 Quart Baking Dish and Add All of the Beans and Mix Well. in a Small Bowl Combine the Remaining Ingredients and Stir Into Beef and Bean Mixture.

    Cover and Bake at 350 For 45 Minutes. Uncover and Bake 15 Minutes Longer.
