French Dip Roast Beef for the Crock Pot,This is one of the best recipes I’ve come up with for beef roast. The cheapest cuts come out tasting like you slaved over a stove all day long. You can add potatoes and carrots to the recipe if you like, or shred it and serve it as a French Dip sandwich with the au jus juice from the crock pot on the side. If you are watching your sodium, use the lite soy sauce and it will taste just as delicious.,I make this (or at least, used to – thank you Covid) for tailgating or a party. I cut the sandwiches in half on the diagonal – so you get 24 servings. Considering all of the other food at a tailgate or party, 1/2 a sandwich is plenty. I serve the au jus in medium plastic cups for dipping, wide enough at the top for dipping. I usually add provolone cheese to the bread and melt or broil in the oven for a few minutes before adding the meat.,My family LOVED THIS! I browned the Roast first otherwise followed recipe, total keeper. Warning: first time I tried to cheat and make it faster in baking bag, dont do it! Flavor great but wasnt fall apart tender. Chuck roast needs that time to cook low and slow. Fab fab fab
