flour (for dredging)

1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
6 beaten eggs, diluted with 1/2 cup milk
4 cups seasoned bread crumbs (or plain, preferably homemade)
2 - 3 cups light oil, for frying (such as canola or peanut)
