Peel the Plantains and Cut Them in 1/2 on a Bias, Then Slice in 1/2 Lengthwise So You Have 4 Pieces. |

Heat the Oil in a Large Heavy Skillet Over Medium Heat. |

Fry the Plantains Until Golden on Both Sides, About 5 Minutes Per Side. |
