    Fudgy Brownies from Scratch,These brownies are awesome. Nice rich chocolately flavor.,I added the hot coffee instead of the water, I also used the applesauce instead of oil. I baked it ten minutes less than stated. It still came out cake like. I’m actually going to crumb most of it to be the base of a peanut butter cheesecake!,I followed this recipe exactly, used a 9×13 pan as directed, baked it for 2 1/2 minutes less than time required. I was expecting sweet fudgy brownies. Instead they were cake-like and dry, and they had a bitter aftertaste. Very disappointing, waste of time and money.

    Preheat Oven to 350.

    Grease and Flour 9x13 Inch Pan.

    in a Large Bowl, Stir Together the Cocoa and Baking Soda, Add 1/3 C Veg Oil and Boiling Water. Mix Until Well Blended and Thickened.

    Stir in the Sugar, Eggs, and Remaining 1/3 C Veg Oil. Mix Together.

    Finally Add the Flour, Vanilla, and Salt. Mix Just Until All of the Flour Is Absorbed.

    Spread Evenly in Prepared Pan.

    Bake For 35 to 40 Minutes, or Until Toothpick Inserted Comes Out Clean. Allow to Cool Before Cutting.
