Garlic-Spiked Broccoli and Mushrooms,A nice alternative to “old stand-by” side dishes.,I had broccoli and maitake mushrooms in the fridge which needed to be used. This turned out to be a wonderful use for my ingredients! I made a couple of additions–chopped ginger and sliced green onion, as well as some red bell pepper thinly sliced, for a nice added pop of color. Delicious! Having the leftovers for dinner tonight with some roasted tofu. Thank you for a simple yet perfect recipe.,There were buttons in the fridge and broccoli in the garden to use up, and this fit the bill. Even with only 2 cups of broccoli on hand, the blend of the two main ingredients came out fine. I also threw in a handful of sunflower seeds and a splash of mystery veggie sauce (leftover from a friend’s meal delivery kit), based on reports of blandness by other reviewers, but I don’t think that was necessary. I think it would be worthwhile trying out an herb other than rosemary in this recipe.
