Gingersnaps (Soft & Chewy),I found this recipe in a old church fundraising book. It’s been a while since I’ve made them. Submitting for ZWT3.,The best cookie recipe. Absolutely delicious! I cant count how many times i’ve made them without a single flaw. They are unbelievably soft and have the most perfect taste.,Has anyone tried rolling these in powdered sugar, for that white on brown contrasting effect? If so did it change the texture or chewiness of the cookie at all? Baking time? TIA!

Cream Shortening and Sugar. |

Add Molasses and Egg. |

Stir in Sifted, Flour, Salt and Baking Soda. |

Then Cinnamon, Cloves, and Ginger. Dough Will Be Soft and Sticky. |

Roll, Into Walnut-Sized Balls and Roll in Granulated Sugar. |

Place on Greased Cookie Sheet and Bake at 350f For 7 to 8 Minutes. Cookie Will Flatten Out While Baking. |
