Grandma Geldner’s Pflaum (Plum) Torte,Another recipe from my great German heritage!,I forgot to rate this recipe so this review is to add the stars. I have made this 2 days in a row it was so very nice. used packet vanilla sugar (quite a bit, like 1 tablespoon) on top and sprinkled with cinnamon, my husband , a man of few words, who usually says everything is “Good’ when I ask how it was, emphatically said this was “Delicious!!!”,Now this is what I call a torte!! This is super easy and a great blend of flavors – not too sweet as well. used homemade canned plums (“recipe#159335”)which held up quite nicely. I took the syrup from the canned plums, added some corn starch thickening it up to use as a syrup to drizzle on top. The only change I will make to this is to pack in as many plums as I can. Thanks for a great addition to my recipe book.
