Green Beans Almondine, This is a classic American side dish courtesy of the American Heart Association. , These beans are just about perfect with everything you put them with. I’ve made them with an apricot chicken and fried catfish now and their flavors match great. use frozen pearl onions in a cream sauce but everything else I leave the same. I would recommend this dish to anyone! Thanks for posting., Terrific! I thought these were wonderful! used fresh beans and half a fresh chopped onion. Also, used water in place of broth I added some salt and a few herbs to try to make up for it… I skipped the breadcrumbs like another reviewer suggested and didn’t think it lacked anything. This was really easy and it went together so fast. I think I have finally found a recipe that makes me like fresh green beans.
