Green Split Pea & Barley Soup,,I followed the directions but cooked the barley separately, blend with an immersion blender, then add the barley and caramelized onions. Delish! (used vegetarian better than bouillon – no-chicken base and the flavor was amazing.),I followed recipe exactly. Used chicken broth boxed. Excellent soup. For myself, not my husband, I add turmeric and curry. So easy to make. Loved it

In a Large Soup Pot, Combine Split Peas, Carrots, Celery and 1 Onion With Water. |

Reduce Heat and Simmer Partly Covered For 1 1/2 to 2 Hours. |
