    Grits Casserole, Grits Casserole, We enjoyed this casserole; although it was really rich I think it could definitely be made with much less butter and fewer eggs This would help the casserole to solidify a bit more We really liked the addition of the green chilies — they really gave the casserole a great taste There was no oven temp given in the recipe, so I cooked it at 350 degrees F — it’s possible that it should have been higher; perhaps 375 Made for Spring PAC, April, 2013 , Grits Casserole

    Bring 3-1/2 C Milk to Boiling in Medium Saucepan.

    Gradually Stir in Grits.

    Gook Over Medium Heat , Stirring Constantly, Until Thick (about 10 Minutes).

    Remove from Heat.

    Add Butter and Garlic Cheese; Stir Until Melted.

    Stir in Eggs and Remaining Milk.

    Pour Into 2 Quart Casserole.

    Bake in Preheated 375 Degree Oven Uncovered For 30 Minutes.

    Sprinkle Grated Cheese Over Top.

    Bake 15 Minutes Longer.
