Ground Beef with Cabbage,This dish is easy to prepare, even kids like it. It’s a family favourite since a long time.My aunt in Germany created it a long time ago.,We make this dish often. We live on our sailboat and this dish is perfect for our small galley and limited ability to store fresh veggies. Luckily, carrots, onions and cabbage store well. Long after we run out of other options, we still have the ingredients for this dish. Toasted caraway seeds are a nice addition.,Very good! I started this in a skillet and finished in a crockpot. I poured in a bottle of German beer so it wouldn’t dry out. The aromas were amazing! Also took a shortcut (’cause I’m always in such a doggone hurry =p ) by using bagged pre-chopped cabbage for cole slaw. The prep and clean up were virtually nonexistent.
