Ham Steak & Whiskey Sauce,An Irish dish Gammon.A nice sweet and salty dish.Great for St. Patty’s Day!Alternate cooking method: Fry ham in butter 3-4 minutes per side then remove ham add onions cooking till translucent, sprinkle with sugar and then with flour mix till blended in, add stock simmering for 5 minutes. Add whiskey season with salt, pepper and dried parsley. Top ham with sauce.,I got this recipe off of another site years ago and have made it often since. I always chop up extra onions so that the sauce is chunky. I also cook the sauce a little after adding the whiskey to burn off some of the alcohol. This sauce tastes great over any vegetable that goes with ham, especially green beans. Super quick and tasty.,Another great dish from ~Rita~! I wouldn’t have thought these ingredients would come together so nicely…absolutely delicious. Only change is I made it with one very large ham slice (steak). Came out great…thanks again ~Rita~. 🙂
