Havarti Stuffed French Toast, French toast is often thought of as sweet, but many people like a savory version, here in the United States and in other countries Here is a version I believe you will enjoy! I actually found this on a Walmart card in the grocery section!, Yum, this was great, instaed of currant jelly I topped with a bit of homemade tomato chutney which was delicious Thanks for posting!, We made these with three different cheeses: 1 sandwich with mozzarella for the daughter who dislikes havarti She dipped it in spaghetti sauce and liked the recipe better than her sister and I I made one with plain havarti, and another with dill havarti We didn’t use the optional currant jam, but I think the sandwich needs something I might try some chopped sundried tomatoes in the filling, or maybe a sundried tomatoe mayo for dipping Or maybe add pesto to the filling? (PS–Don’t anybody tell my kids this had mustard in it!)
