Hearty 3-Grain Porridge

    I made this using basmati brown rice and oatmeal and barley. Like other reviewers said mine absorbed the water faster than 45 minutes even though I added some extra water in the beginning. I kept add some water to when I tested to see if it was done or not. Around 30 minutes all of the water was absorbed and everything seemed soft enough to serve. I took the serving suggestions posted for this recipe (soymilk used vanilla, maple syrup and banannas.) I had also added some cinnamon and nutmeg while it was cooking. It was very good. I also halved the recipe and have some leftover for tomorrows breakfast I guess!
