Put Smoked Ham Hock, Beans, and Liquid Together in Large Saucepan. |

Turn Heat on to Medium High. |

Add Onions. |

Bring Mixture to a Boil. |

Turn Heat Down to Medium Low and Cover With Tilted Lid to Only Cover Partially. |
