Turkey Black Bean Chili, A chef made this at a cooking class in the upstairs room at the supermarket in town. When I looked over the recipe, I thought “I’m not going to like this”. When I watched the prep & the end result, I thought “I’m not going to like this”. She served it over a combination of white & brown rice with a side salad. Was I ever wrong. I liked it very much & I will be making it for my DH very soon!, This was gross. Too many crushed tomatoes and too little flavor. I tried this because I couldn’t find the good turkey chili recipe I had. My husband, who literally eats anything, threw away the leftovers. That’s saying something!, Double the chili powder, add 2 tbs cumin and dried oregano, double the lime juice and then you are talking. I added seasoned salt too. Great base, but lacks the flavor punch we like. Make it and doctor it!
