Holiday Chocolate Covered Cherries,I make these every year for Christmas goodies and my husband hides them from everybody! They take about two weeks for the centers to get soft. This is a Southern Living recipe that’s at least 20 years old. When you buy the cherries check the servings in the jar. You need 50 cherries, give or take a few.,Great recipe!! I tried another recipe first and that was a disaster— but this one worked like a charm! Its time consuming but definitely worth the effort. I soaked my cherries in Jim Bean, which changed the taste of the whole candy itself but it was good!,excellent recipe. used normal pitted cherries soaked in Jack Daniels for 2 days instead of marachino. Thanks for posting this recipe.
