Homemade Applesauce,Good basic applesauce. Add some red-hots (cinnamon hearts candy) to boost the flavour and the colour.,This applesauce has great flavour, but I find it slightly too “floral.” I suspect this has nothing to do with the recipe, but with the apples used. I suggest using a more tart apple next time for a more tangy apple sauce. Love the flavour of cinnamon in this one.,Who knew making apple sauce could be so simple! I like the taste of the cinnamon stick moreso than had used ground cinnamon. used a mix of sweet and tart apples, so I ended up using some sugar. I will definitely be making this recipe again, and again, and again… Thank you so much for posting.

Core Apples and Cut Into Eighths. |

Peel If Desired; It's not Necessary. |

Place in Large, Heavy Pot With the Lemon Slices, Cinnamon Sticks and Water. |
