Homemade Caramel Frosting,This is the BEST, buttery caramel frosting. It comes from my great aunt and she always used it on top of her chocolate zucchini cake. YUM!,This was exceptional. I made it exactly as directed for an old-fashioned apple cake I made. My son said its the best frosting he’s ever had and he has had many! It definitely has a caramel flavor to my tastes. After adding the milk I did let it come to a full but gentle boil and noticed the color changed to a beautiful light caramel color. I will be making this often! Thank you for posting.
