Strawberry Syrup,This is a delicious and easy to make syrup. use this to pour over pancakes and Belgian waffles, over ice cream or pound cake, angel food cake or cheesecake! Your imagination is your only limitation! Please remember to skim the froth off the syrup while it is simmering for your best flavor. I first discovered this recipe in Southern Living.,So I want to make Halloween cupcakes that ooze “blood” (aka, strawberry syrup). Is this recipe thick enough to stay in the cupcakes and not just leak out through the cake? If it isn’t, does anyone have any suggestions on how to make a sauce that will work for my project? Thanks!,Excellent! Substituted lime juice (delightful!) and used a little less than a cup of sugar and served with blueberry waffles. Just fabulous. Thank you!
