    Homemade Seasoned Rice Mix & Chicken Rice Casserole, From Taste of Home This rice mix is very popular in our home – goes well with chicken, pork or fish It makes great gifts also when packaged in a jar with a nice ribbon I make it with brown rice and adjust the cooking time as needed The casserole is comforting and satisfying as well The prep/cooking time is based on the casserole recipe **NOTE** Where the ingredients list 1 cup rice, mix – it is calling for the Homemade Seasoned Rice Mix , I also got this recipe from TOH used the rice mixture for part of my Xmas gift baskets this year and everyone really liked it I have also made it as a casserole and my family likes it too , I only made the rice part of this, not the casserole It was good, but a bit bland I will probably make it again when in a pinch for a side dish, but it is unlikely to become a regular dish in our home
