Directions
Turkey Chorizo, I was looking to make a lighter version of chorizo with a strong garlic flavor The original recipe calls for ground pork and not having in used turkey and made a few additional changes and the result was very good The Ancho chile will not add alot of heat It adds a nice rich flavor The heat can be adjusted to your liking by increasing the red pepper flakes , That is a great recipe, easy to follow and the result is exactly the traditional chorizo taste, but much heatier, less fat and no preservatives, Thank you for sharing it , Thank you for this My husband has a heart condition and has been missing chorizo (or occasionally getting some, lol) He is thrilled with this recipe I don’t add the salt due to his heart used regular chili powder with salt because that was all that I had, but I am going to buy some chili powder that doesn’t have salt Again, thanks so much! there are so many things that my husband can’t eat anymore but now there is one less thing 🙂
