Homestyle Beef Stroganoff

Features:
    Cuisine:

I had beef stew so used that. Unfortunately, it turned out tough. Reading up, I think down the road, I will only use chuck roasts and cut up myself. Also, my noodles turned out gummy (I know why they get gummy but I think it had more to do with brand because they were not cooked too long)! So, my review is for the sauce itself. I will say, it has a really good flavor to it. I, too, added 2 cloves of garlic while simmering the meat and a couple of dashes of reduced sodium worst. sauce with the marinating mushrooms. I simmered those in salt-free butter since I have to watch my salt intake. I think salt def would've brought the flavor up and tenderized the meat a little better but it was still good. I'm anxious to try it again with my corrections.
