16 ounces 80% lean ground beef
1/4 cup finely diced yellow onion
2 tablespoons diced pickled jalapeno peppers (optional) or 2 tablespoons fresh jalapenos (optional)
1 teaspoon finely chopped of fresh mint
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
1/4 teaspoon salt

    For the Sauce.

    Place the Plain Greek Non-Fat Yogurt in a Small Bowl, Add Mint and Cucumber and Mix Until Well Combined. Cover and Chill Until Ready to Serve.

    For the Burgers.

    Place the Ground Beef in a Medium Size Bowl. Add the Onions, Jalapenos, Mint, Cumin, Garlic, and Salt. Mix Until Well Combined. Separate the Beef Mixture Into Two Sizable Softballs. Create and Form to Patties.

    Place the Patties in a Hot Grill and Cook For 15 to 20 Minutes or Until Patties Are Done (160 F Degrees), Turning Once.

    Allow the Patties to Rest For 5-7 Minutes. While They Are Resting Prepare the Pita Pockets. Pull Out the Yogurt Sauce from the Fridge and Set Aside. Place the 4 Pita Halves in the Microwave 10-15 Seconds or Until Soft & Warm. Spread 1 Tbsp Hummus Inside Each Pita Half. Add a Small Amount of Lettuce. Set Aside.

    With a Knife Cut Each Rested Beef Pattie in Half. This Should Result in 4 Beef Halves. Place Each Halved Beef Inside Each Halved Pita Pocket. Spoon Yogurt Sauce in For the Final Touch and Enjoy.

    Helpful Tips: Jalapenos Make a Nice Addition For Flavor & Heat, However If You Are not a Fan of Heat, Simply Omit This Ingredient. Most Pickled Jalapenos in a Jar Are Very Mild. If Using Fresh Jalapeno Be Sure to Remove the Seeds.

    the Yogurt Sauce Will Usually Be Enough to Fill All Four Prepared Pita Burgers. If You Really Like a Lot of Sauce Double the Yogurt Recipe.
