Turkey Meatloaf,This recipe came from a package of ground turkey. It is by far the best turkey meatloaf I have ever tasted.,Good, though with modifications it was excellent, and the sauce was greatly improved by doing so. To the loaf itself I added a third of a bell pepper (more would have been good too) and sauted it and the onion and garlic in olive oil to make a dairy free recipe. Then for the sauce I doubled the ketchup, and added brown sugar, Worcestershire, lemon juice, and dry mustard (my usual meatloaf sauce that is the star of the dish). I added 2/3 a cup of that to the loaf, then poured the rest on top once it was formed and in the pan. For future bakes Id brush on a light layer and reserve the remainder to put on ten minutes before the end of the bake so it has a chance to caramelize but less gets stuck to the sides and wasted (it really is too scrummy to leave in the pan!).,This recipe was the best! My family loved it. I made it exactly as written – for the bread crumbs used Progressive Italian bread crumbs and I only had a pound of ground turkey instead of 1 1/4 lbs but other than that I didn’t change a thing. Will definitely be making this again.
