Directions
Date Loaf,This recipe is from the Edmonds Cook Book. My kids love this, especially as an after school snack with a glass of milk. It has a lovely rich caramel flavour. I make mine without the walnuts and it’s still great. Prep time includes 1 hour for soaking dates in boiling water.,Made this today with half the sugar (used turbinado as we were out of brown), egg whites and a little extra butter and turned out great. Also added 1/4 teaspoon each of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. So good with cream cheese!,Im not a baker but i really enjoy making bread and this recipe ive used a few times and always turns out nicely, Taste and looks 🙂
