Kidney Bean Gumbo, This is an easy dish to make and perfect for a meatless dinner served with french bread and crisp salad The recipe was published in The New American Diet Cookbook I made only a few minor adjustments , Thank you Paula G for posting this recipe, so good!! used frozen okra and I do not care to much for peas so added frozen corn Forgot to get more celery so added a bit of celery seeds and had one great meal!, This gets 5 stars for several reasons: 1) it’s nice and easy to make; 2) apart from the okra, every ingredient is a ‘basic’ that I always have to hand so a very useful recipe; and 3) perhaps the best reason, this dish tastes great Thanks PaulaG

Cook the Sliced Okra in Boiling Water Just Until Tender; Set Aside. |
