Kittencals Marinade For Grilled Steak

Features:
    Cuisine:

used this marinade on our steak for grilling this 4th of July. I prepared the marinade this morning, added it to a Ziploc of frozen steak, and allowed the steak to marinade as it thawed for about 7 hours. The only change I made to the recipe as posted was to add 2 Tbsp of Dijon mustard instead of 2 tsp called for (things like that sometimes happen when you're prepping with a preschooler and toddler underfoot). After BBQing, I topped the steak with a pat of butter; that's it, no additional seasoning. The final result was AH-MA-ZING! Our BBQ guests even asked me to share the marinade recipe. I will definitely use this one again, with our unintentional, but tasty tweak. (One additional note: the steaks used tonight were 2/3 of a Costco pack. We had the first 1/3 a week or two ago. When I made that one, I sprinkled it with steak seasoning and popped it under the broiler. It was disappointing, rather tough (but still pink, so not overcooked). This marinade did a lot to tenderize the meat tonight).

Kittencal’s Marinade for Grilled Steak, This marinade will produce the most tender and not to mention the best tasting steak and it’s enough for up to four steaks about 1-1/2-inches thick — just remember to bring the steaks to almost room temperature before grilling this will relax the meat fibers and make for a more tender juicy steak — the amounts may be doubled but keep the garlic at the same amount, for best results it is recommended to not substitute any ingredients, do not add any salt to the marinade and do not salt the meat until ready to grill — this marinade may be used for any cut of steaks , used this marinade on our steak for grilling this 4th of July I prepared the marinade this morning, added it to a Ziploc of frozen steak, and allowed the steak to marinade as it thawed for about 7 hours The only change I made to the recipe as posted was to add 2 Tbsp of Dijon mustard instead of 2 tsp called for (things like that sometimes happen when you’re prepping with a preschooler and toddler underfoot) After BBQing, I topped the steak with a pat of butter; that’s it, no additional seasoning The final result was AH-MA-ZING! I substituted Bragg’s apple cider vinegar for the balsamic and used spicy mustard since I did not have dijon It came out fantastic!! My husband and I both agreed that the steak came out the best we have ever made at home Very soft, tender and just perfect Thanks Kittencals for this awesome marinade!
