Kona Banana Bread, Our tried and true favorite Banana Bread Super moist and filling , I always like quick breads with swirls in the middle, and I love cinnamon, so this was right up my alley I probably could’ve cut down a bit on the cinnamon in the swirl layer since it was a bit strong, but still good I ended up having to double the recipe because I was thinking of a stick of butter when I added the stick of shortening to the bowl (1/2 cup vs 1 cup) No big deal, I just doubled up on all the other ingredients and made two loaves instead of one The only problem I had was that my breads took quite a bit longer than 35 minutes to cook (maybe 50 minutes total) to not be liquid in the middle, so the edges got pretty dark Once I got past the crunchy edges, the bread was soft and moist Thanks for posting! Made for PAC Spring 2013
