I wish we had more then 5 stars! This ended up being one of my husbands favorites! I did two things differently though, added some diced onion and 1 stick of butter to the pot when I started cooking the potatoes. Drained in a colander when done. It was soooo good. thanks!

Lazy Day Dish, used to serve this to my children when I was a single mum. It was quick and delicious!,I wish we had more then 5 stars! This ended up being one of my husbands favorites! I did two things differently though, added some diced onion and 1 stick of butter to the pot when I started cooking the potatoes. Drained in a colander when done. It was soooo good. thanks!,Tried this last night, as I had 1/2 head of cabbage leftover from something else. It was definately a hit! Good, plain old comfort food, as it reminded me of something my grandmother would have made. DH loved it and took the leftovers to his workers who gobbled it up in seconds and said it was great!
