Lazy Irish Beer Bread, From me own lazy Irish grandmother who died at 100 years plus one day old on Saint Patricks Day back in 1968 I love the way it smells while baking If you don’t like the smell of beer, stay away from it I also like that you can add it to an oven being used to make something else like a chicken etc If the other item being baked or roasted requires 325F, just add an extra 10 minu, Thank You for this recipe It is in My oven baking right now, with some foil wrapped baking potatoes used Corona Ultra Beer It took more than 12 ounces to get it blended with the flour I have made many loaves of bread in My life but this is My first loaf of beer bread We have company coming over for dinner If we enjoy it I look forward to making more for Christmas used some avocado oil to grease the pan Virginia 12/6/2019, Boy was this good used honey instead of flour, because it was beside me, the sugar wasn’t And I added a teaspoon of olive oil It turned out very soft and light used Bud Ice in the bottle, and it came out very yeasty flavoured If you don’t like a strong beer flavour I would not suggest going darker Also this tastes like yeast bread not a sweet quick bread Had I not added the extra moisture with the honey and the oil, this probably would make a good sandwich bread Update: After being refrigerated overnight it was denser, and would make a great sandwich bread
