Lemon Pepper Nuts, Super simple, yet party-worthy! These are absolutely fantastic Pepper is very mild , How about using honey instead of sugar?, Good savory/swwet treat used 2 C Planter’s Cocktail Nuts, (salted) 1 C Pistachios (Shelled as its hard to shell them and they were salted) and 1 C Almonds (Not Salted) So I quadrupled the recipe and used an 8 qt pot Stir and Stir and Stir until the sugar starts to brown and if you see any smoke lift from heat immediately, keep stirring and if necessary put on lower heat again to melt sugar all the way Removed from heat and I added Lemon Pepper (used Trader Joe’s which you grind as needed) a little at a time, stirring thoroughly each time or you could get clumps of pepper stuck to the sugar in just one area I did not have waxed paper so sprayed Pam on pans and cookie sheets and spread nuts out on that You can’t really taste the lemon but I am sure it lends itself to the taste Whenever use lemon pepper on meats and such I can usually taste the lemon but not so much in this Really different and I know it would go over big at a party, picnic and Super Bowl parties especially To clean melted sugar from pot, heat 4 cups of water to boil and put into pot and boil for a few minutes on range
