Lost Bread (French Toast),When I was a little girl, my mama always made this for me for breakfast. I loved it and fixed it for my children who also loved it. It always smelled so good frying that I could hardly wait to get it on my plate.,I’m from New Orleans and My Mawmaw used to make this for us every weekend. Brings back great memories.,My husband and I tried this recipe for breakfast this morning. We often have leftover Hawaiian bread from communion each Sunday, so used that for the bread. It really did not need syrup at all – but we used some! Yum!
