Lu’s Tuna Noodle Casserole, Luitgard is my mom and came to America from Germany with my dad almost 50 years ago My dad was an American soldier and met and married my mom in Germany When they first arrived in America, money was very tight, and she made this recipe often It’s very budget friendly and darn yummy, too! I was raised on this, and it is the ultimate comfort food for me I still prepare this regularly for my own family In fact — it’s one of my daughters’ favorite meals! Mom always served this along with applesauce and green peas , This is a very easy and delicious recipe I made this with cream of mushroom soup and made it as directed only cut it in half and served with a side of green salad I think next time I would add some sauted onion, celery, and a little minced garlic for a little more flavor Thank you Made for Spring PAC 2009 , My DH actually introduced me to this! He calls it Batch Cass (Bachelor Casserole) since this was one of his mainstays when he was single He doesn’t like it with cream of chicken – only with cream of mushroom, and that’s the only way I’ve made it Very simple and filling for a day when things just get to hectic or when you want some comfort food!
