Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes for Crock Pot,I made this recipe last year for Thanksgiving. It’s very good and saves a lot of time. You may have to lengthen your crock pot cooking time.,I boiled my potatoes, put thru ricer, stirred in warm half and half with melted butter. I put an inch of water in the bottom of my slow cooker, set it on low, then put the liner bag in over the water. Put the mashed potatoes in liner bag, and they kept warm for hours.,What is the brown topping on the potatoes? looks like cracker or bread crumbs. Nothing in the recipe mentions putting anything on the top.
