Mango Kheer

Features:
    Cuisine:

This tastes very good, but I had a little trouble with the preparation. I'm not sure if it is operator error or not, as I have never made kheer before. (I have enjoyed it many a time at the Indian restaurants, however!) I made about half the recipe. used 1 mango (2/3 c of puree), 1/3 c sugar, and 1 1/2 c milk. I boiled it for 20 or 30 minutes and it never seemed to thicken. In desparation, I threw in a tablespoon of cornstarch. But I think you are supposed to mix that with a little water before adding it to something. I ended up with some little cornstarch dumplings. lol. Despite all that, the taste is very good!
