We love strawberries and this simple sauce is delicious. We added it over breakfast waffles and enjoyed it very much. A plus to add over cake slices, pancakes, waffles, ice cream, etc., instead of jam. Thanks for the recipe. I tagged it for THINK PINK RECIPE TAG EVENT - October 2011.

Mansiikka Kiisseli (Strawberries!),A Finnish recipe perfect for an easy dessert when strawberries are in season!,We love strawberries and this simple sauce is delicious. We added it over breakfast waffles and enjoyed it very much. A plus to add over cake slices, pancakes, waffles, ice cream, etc., instead of jam. Thanks for the recipe. I tagged it for THINK PINK RECIPE TAG EVENT – October 2011.,This is a great recipe and used it to top some fresh angel food cake slices. I could not find strawberry juice so used the advice of another reviewer and pureed some fresh strawberries and created base that way (I know it is not as thin as a juice but it seemed to work well.). I did cut the sugar back as the strawberries were so naturally sweet that I just did not think they needed all the extra white sugar. Thanks for a great recipe!
