Maple Crunch Baked Apples,I found this in a magazine (have no clue which one, wrote it down and gave it a try with a hopeful heart that it would be good. Boy, it hit the spot! Great for a fall breakfast or dessert, especially since fall is apple season.,Reviewed for ZWT III. These baked apples were fabulous. Easy to make and they smelt and tasted wondereful. Preheat the Oven to 375 Degrees and Lightly Grease an 8x8 Glass Dish. |

in a Bowl, Mix Brown Sugar, Flour, and Salt. Cut in Butter Until Crumbly. Stir in Oats and Maple Syrup. |

Core the Apples and Cut Off the End (i Do This on the Bottom Because Apples Tend to Sit Better and More Even on Their Tops). Slice an Inch Piece Off the Core and Use It as a Cork to Plug the Apple. Place the Apples in the Dish. |

Fill the Apples With the Mix and Cover With Foil. Bake 45 Minutes. Remove Foil and Continue Baking Until the Apples Are Tender and Filling Is Light Brown, About 15 Minutes. Let Cool and Eat Warm or Cold. |
