Mirj’s Foolproof Microwave Rice – Perfect Every Time!,This is my foolproof way of getting perfect “every grain separate” rice, every time!,NOT FOOLPROOF!! I did the exact instructions and covered my rice, but inmates after 5 min of cooking, I opened the microwave and all the water from the rice had boiled out all over my microwave! Now it is making funny noises….,I have tested this method several times using different rice, bowls, time, lids and amounts of water. Nearly the same result everytime, the starch in the rice causes the rice to end up in the shape of a hockey puck that can be lifted out of the bowl with a fork. A rinse of cold water will separate the rice but the flavor after all of that is tasteless.

Place in Micro-Safe Serving Dish (or Back in the Rinsed Out Bowl), Add Seasonings to Taste (onion Soup Mix, Salt and Pepper, Hot Chilles, Whatever You Like in Your Rice) and Heat on Medium For 5 Minutes Until It Reaches Desired Serving Temperature. |
