Mom’s Southern Pecan Pie,My Mother first made this pie in 1949. The recipe was on a can of pecans. (I wasn’t born then, but evidently pecans used to be sold in cans.) She kept the can in the kitchen cabinet. For some reason she never wrote it down. It’s been a family favorite for 4 generations.,Made this for the first time for my niece’s family as a thank you for the big bucket of pecans they gave me. She said it was a keeper. Her son doesn’t even like nuts and was prepared to be disappointed, but he LOVED this! Very easy to make too. Next time I’m keeping it for myself – LOL!,I thought this was good, and very easy. I did tweak it by adding a capful of vanilla.
