My Mom’s Tuna Spread, Really simple spread for crackers, (I like crackers with toasted sesame seeds or cracked wheat for this spread) I have no idea where this recipe came from, it is one of Mom’s shoe box recipes Be sure to serve cold — chill about 3-4 hours , If you like tuna definitely give this spead a try! I did use about 2 1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice and added some garlic powder too The tuna was in water and packaged in pouches so no need to worry about a mess and draining the tuna Nicely flavored cream cheese with a mild tuna flavor that went well on mini bagels and bagel chips Thank you sweets for a keeper!, This was a very pleasant spread I liked that it went together easily using items that I usually have on hand, although I did substitute granulated garlic for the onion powder since I had that on hand I was afraid it would have a strong fishy odor and flavor, but it really did not–it was quite mild and pretty tasty It wasn’t a hit like salmon spread/dip is, but we all liked it Thanks so much for sharing this recipe, kittycatmom!
