New York Vanilla Egg Cream, one of my favorites growing up on the lower east side of nyc, they used to cost a nickle!, Grew up in the Bronx and Long Island My favorite drink brings back old fond memories You just cant get an egg cream in California, You can always use a dash of vanilla extract and a spoon or two of sugar in place of the syrup Then milk and seltzer It’s the way I learned it, and it is equally if not more delicious than the syrup version For chocolate egg creams, it’s your choice of chocolates, but again, the milk and seltzer are in the same proportion unless you want to change the proportions, which you are free to do
